The Suqoon W.I.S.E. Framework translates our commitment to healthy ageing into four interconnected dimensions.
Supporting physical, mental and emotional wellbeing throughout later life. We promote approaches that encourage healthy lifestyles, preventive care, social connection and opportunities for Older Persons to remain active and engaged.
Wellness asks: Do I have the health and wellbeing I need to participate in the life I value?
Creating communities where Older Persons remain connected, valued and able to participate. We promote social inclusion and intergenerational connection while recognising the continued contribution of Older Persons.
Inclusion asks: Am I connected, included and able to participate?
Building solutions that can create lasting impact. We strengthen partnerships, local capacity and community ownership so that healthy ageing initiatives can continue beyond individual projects.
Sustainability asks: Are the conditions and support needed for healthy ageing sustainable over time?
Enabling Older Persons and communities to participate, make informed choices and pursue meaningful lives. We believe people are better positioned to thrive when they have access to knowledge, opportunities, support and the ability to influence decisions that affect them.
Empowerment asks: Do I have the choice, voice and opportunity to shape my own life?
W.I.S.E. is not a standalone programme. It is a lens through which Suqoon approaches healthy ageing, helping us consider the different dimensions of wellbeing and participation when developing programmes, partnerships and community initiatives.
Together, W.I.S.E. creates the conditions for Older Persons to thrive.
